Herlinde Demaerel (°1993) is a Belgian illustrator and graphic designer, based in Corfu, Greece, and Brussels, Belgium.

She finished her studies in graphic design and visual storytelling in 2015 at Sint-Lukas in Brussels. Since then, she has focused mainly on illustration, using a wide variety of techniques and often combining manual and digital processes.

​

 

Humor, curiosity and fantasy are always central to her work; her illustrations search for the fine line between reality and imagination. They are an invitation to slow down, to step away and dream of a more colorful and harmonious world.

She is inspired by the things she does on a daily basis, next to illustration.
Some examples: trying vegetarian cooking, gardening on her balcony, sipping craft beers, sipping espressos diluted with too much water by Italian standards, hiking in flip-flops and living on a Greek island.
