After two rich first years of Art History studies at the KU Leuven, I had the great opportunity to depart on an Erasmus exchange in Paris for a year, where I studied at the Université de Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV). It is in Paris, as a resident of the Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre, that I forged valuable friendships with several members of what is currently the Perpetuum Mobile team. My passions for photography, anthropology, architecture, urban history and cultural history incited me to research the photographic oeuvre of the Belgian avant-garde artiste Jan Yoors (1922-1977) in the framework of my Masters of Art History (2016) and Cultural Studies (2018).
During the organization of the contemporary arts festival Ithaka in Leuven (2017) and a traineeship at BOZAR in Brussels (2018), I discovered a great interest in the close collaboration with artists, in the realization of their ideas and the exhibition of their projects. I’ve attempted to pursue this passion in my professional endeavors since.
After my studies, I returned to Paris, where I gained a valuable and rich experience in the exhibitions team at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain. Here, I participated in the preparations for exhibitions Géométries Sud and Nous les Arbres. Hereupon, I was active at the Galerie Nathalie Obadia before becoming part of André Magnin’s team at the Galerie MAGNIN-A in Paris. Here, I collaborated with artists and institutions in the realization of international exhibitions.
Back in Belgium as of recently, I’m on the lookout for new experiences in the artistic and cultural fields.
