Marie-Laure began her training as a dancer with classical dance, first in Dakar with Andrée Lorenzetti, then in Belgium with Yuka Ohara.

 

Over the years, she developed a passion for and interest in other styles, including hip-hop and house dance, and later tap dancing. Parallel to her studies at the University of Liège - in communication and later in philosophy - she continues to dance and aspire to a professional career.

 

Between Antwerp, Brussels and Paris, Marie-Laure is today a freelance dancer, a member of the artists' collective L'Ensemble, which she co-creates in 2018; co-director of the Perpetuum Mobile, a young international dance festival she co-creates, also in 2018; co-founder and manager of the non-profit organisation The Dancing Society, a centre for creation, encounters and transmission; and also a barreshape coach.
