LORE
STESSEL
- PHOTOGRAPHER -
In her photographic work, Lore Stessel explores the interface between photography and painting. In this physical creative process, she consciously leaves room for the "accidental" and the "unexpected."
The body also occupies an important place as a subject. She is fascinated by the beauty of daily routines, small gestures, and the power of movement. Much of her work arises from the encounter between the photographer and the dancer(s), with trust being essential. The creative process takes place within a limited time frame, with an awareness of its ephemeral nature and value.
For this exhibition, she worked with the dancer Maya Balam Meyong.
